51 is a good unit. However it gets alot applicants. Lots of hunters all over the place. Be careful with the locals. There’s better units besides 51.

I hunted 34 for elk/ deer back in 2011. I punched 2 tags in 7 days it was a blast. this year wife has a cow tag. I’m hoping she’ll tag out as well haven’t been to 34 in 11 years, but I’ll be there in late August for a little scouting b4 archery season.

34 is looking good. Taking a trip in late august. Wife has a cow hunt 1st week in December.. haven’t been up there in about 10 years we’re excited. We’re currently in Angelfire NM, been here since the 6-25-22, this place has been getting hammered with rain every evening it’s very green.

My wife got lucky and drew 2nd rifle cow hunt in December. Hopefully we can tag out. 1st time in 34. We always hunt 51-52 & 15. time to put rubber to the trails and start scouting.

Son and I got red flagged. Grandson drew archery Elk & archery deer in 45. Wife drew 2nd rifle hunt cow in 34.

There is a RV campground between apache creek and reserve in cruzville. We stay there during hunting season
