    AZ 6A North elk

Thanks guys. I have a bull permit. Yes, that was the herd at Mormon lake. There are some that will break loose and hit the hills....maybe I can talk my buddy into playing along. May do it myself if noone else is up for it. Wouldn't be the first time I crawled a couple of hours for nothing...

Anyone got any tips on this bowhunt? Saw 600 elk in one herd 3 weeks ago but assume they are broken up now. Thinking about hunting the Rattlesnake quiet area....

    Colorado unit 30 deer

I kinda figured that. I hunted unit 75/751 for the last 3 years and held out. Same problem...warm weather. I wasn't disappointed though. Saw lots of game and had a blast. I'll work for them and see what happens. Any good ideas on where to start?

    Colorado unit 30 deer

I read somewhere that the kill rates were in the 90%+ range for the last 3 years. That's pretty darned high for anywhere. Still hopeful. I'll hunt hard and away from roads if I need to. Also will take the whole time if needed.

    Colorado unit 30 deer

I would think adjoining 29, one of the best units, it'd be pretty good. I hear Garfield County produces some real nice deer. But that's why I'm asking.....Thanks guys.

Hey, saw your info on 751. I was thinking of hunting in the Bayfield area on the 3rd rifle. Did it last year but without snow not much big moved down. Any ideas? I'm from NM and don't get to scout that area much. Really appreciate any help. Randy

Nice bull. I am from NM and have a mzl tag and will start hunting next wednesday. I'll be up there for 2 days before the hunt. Any hints? Didn't get a chance to scout....between my 2 daughters and I we drew 5 (NM, CO, and UT) elk tags, a CO deer tag and they drew oryx tags here. ANY help...

Hunted it last year on my daughter's youth bull hunt. The wardens for that area are VERY helpful. Be prepared to pack. There's very little road access and the elk are not stupid. As a guide told me....unless you're used to looking at big elk, do NOT shoot the first bull you see. My daughter...

    Wasatch bulls

Hey man, There's some great info on here. Somehow I drew one of the NR muzzleloader tags for this year. After reading the posts, I can hardly sleep already. I won't be able to make many, if any trips from NM before the hunts, unfortunately. I'd appreciate ANY info on where to begin. I don't...
