I've gone 8-9 inches threw the off side scapula with 450 gr. Gold Tip and a 125 grain magnus stinger out of a 60 lb tomcat.

Not sure this will make much difference. We could get 15 tags a year before, there are only a handful of trappers that ever get in that range. Hoping it does make a difference, but don't think enough guys are willing to spend the time.

We've gone to Sweet cob for our base. It's really affordable, packable, always available even in the smallest town, and bears can't pick it up and walk away to eat it.
