I would go with the Swarovski. I have the newer HD version and love it. Swarovski quality is great and I’m sure the older model is way better than the Santium.

Just wondering who’s putting in for the different sheep hunts this year in NV? A couple more weeks and results will be out. I’m putting in for Ca and Rocky . I’m in a waiting period for desert but still throw a few bucks in for the special hunts for it. Good luck to all and I hope whoever draws...

LBH thanks. Really appreciate all the info you gave me. It truly was an incredible adventure. I think about that sheep season almost everyday. Sure would be nice to go on another one but I’m not that lucky. But I’m hopeful maybe a friend can draw and I can go help some.

Can’t wait to get my 2023 desert ram back from Wildlife Revolutions in Reno. Maybe by July or August. Having a shoulder mount with habitat. It was a pretty exciting season for sure

Some people do just like to pick up sheds to throw in the yard for decorations. I don’t believe we need more regulations Ora hunting license to shed hunt. My neighbor is an older guy who just likes to do an occasional hike in the hills with the hope of finding a lone shed to toss in his yard...

I switched to Weatherby Select 163 gr Hammer Custom from 175 gr Nosler LR Accubonds. Hated the performance of the Nosler. Talked to Steve at Hammer and he said it will work well in the 1-9 twist of my CA Mesa. Have yet to shoot an animal with it yet

I hear ya, I used to live in a travel trailer when I was doing road construction here in Nevada. Never want to be cold again in my house. Pellet stove works great

Don’t believe they should be able to hunt before the regular season. Two special tags got to hunt my desert sheep tag unit before the season started last year and both took great rams. Not really fair to the other hunters.

Great price on great glass. My nephew has this exact setup and it was invaluable on my desert sheep hunt last year

If I had the money Swarovski NL Pures 12x42 would be my choice.

When I bought my 15x56 they were on sale for $800 and you got a free Leupold carbon fiber tripod with them. Couldn’t pass that up

I have a pair and they are ok, big and heavy. Honestly I can see better with my Swarovski 10x42el than the 15x Leupold.

Well since I’m retired I would just stay after pretty much the whole time, just nice and easy. Would still hunt the same areas I apply for every year and not be too greedy. Just enjoy the experience and not make it a chore .
