I had a spot and stalk bear tag this spring and it is a very tough hunt. Keep looking for that needle in a hay stack and good luck!

I was out there about 2 weeks before the archery hunt started and saw about 50-60 bucks from the road in 2 days. Only saw 2 bucks that were 160 or better. Lots of 4 points that were in the 130-140 range.

I drew my 3rd choice for archery deer probably because I didn't put 4 down! Lol But at least I will be hunting this year!

It is all a matter of personal preference just as is anything these days. I am assuming you already have a bow. As far as a reel or retriever its up to you. I prefer a reel to a retriever bottle but nothing wrong with either. Reels are cheaper but will not last as long as a bottle retriever. You...

What do you consider huge? I had an archery tag this year and saw several bucks to shoot just couldn't close the distance. Ended up taking a good buck and saw several big bucks come off the unit. Would be willing to share info if you want just let me know.

Not to hijack but also have a tag for the same unit and would appreciate any info. PM are fine would be willing to share any info I gather from scouting trips as well.

I can draw either tag and am looking for a little input on both units. Vernon is closer to home but never hunted either unit. I would be happy with a 150-160 class buck anything over that is icing on the cake. Help me decide?! I appreciate the info guys.

I just bought a 340 this year. I shot the xtreme as well as a few others before making my decision. I love everything about it and plan to keep it for a long time.
