    Last night there was Major flash flooding in the dry valley area, with even some of the paved roads getting washed out, and more showers expected today. Just a heads up lots of water out there now.

    As of this morning the acreage of the long valley fire 136 square miles burned covering CA 6b, CA M-3 and NV O21 AND 022 With a signifigant amount of Antelope habitat destroyed, it's only 35% containted and still moving east.

    Migration Question - 021 Archery

    The archery hunt is at the very end of the rut, so the deer are there regardless of snow in Ca. The local herd is small but with bucks still chasing does they get pretty spread out, it's hit and miss. Don't be fooled the unit looks small on a map but there's still plenty of country out...

    5A was tuff for me this year as well, I scouted 6 days and hunted 5, great time, great country ended up seeing 22-23 different bucks, just nothing mature. Lots of young bucks, I only saw one other rig the whole time I hunted. I did see a lot more does and yearlings, more than I've ever seen...

    021 Archery late Nevada

    I would agree 100% with what nocal said. Weather only determines access, not deer in the area. Can be a great hunt, but weather can make it miserable to, snow, rain, and sometimes just plain COLD. Either way great tag, good luck.
