Couldn't get through online. Waited on the phone for 20 minutes and picked up my 3rd season buck tag that I should have drawn in the regular draw.

This is him from last year. Appears to be regressing and putting on more mass. Definitely a unique deer.

There is potential for some good deer. Quite a bit of private in both units. Most of the public is in the lower cedar/sage country.

Came over the mesa tonight. Might be 3 or 4 inches up high. Saw quite a few deer moving in the oaks right at dark. Not real familiar with those units. Know the other side well. We have had some cold mornings. Had 11 degrees one morning up top going to work.

You had better be throwing lead if you happen to come across a 300" bull in an OTC unit. There are some better bulls but you are going to have to work for them. The deeper in I go and the nastier it gets, my standards go up. I have no desire to kill myself for a raghorn.

Those are some nice bucks. Orion that is a monster. We hunted 74 last year during muzzle and saw probably 70 bucks, but nothing like that. We killed a 175 ish buck and that was the best we saw.

Gringo I would be willing to share my knowledge of 421 and the Grand Mesa. I drive over it twice a day to work and see quite a few moose in my travels. The majority of the ones I see are just above Mesa Lakes off HWY 65 but occasionally I will see some on the Cedaredge side.
