Has anyone hunted elk in wyoming in unit 118. I do have enough points to draw and I have been researching units for a long time. I dont' think I want to wait another 2 or 3 years to draw a premium unit. Thanks

The love for the wolf is that it will be the end of Big Game hunting in our National Forests without population control. I honestly am suprised some states have not just started having the season anyway by now.

Yeah that's what I thought in the scope. I was hunting for a buck not a certain score and I had hoped that I could find a 4 point but we not seeing many deer.

yeah that is great news for colorado........I certainly dont' aggree with the landowner tag business....what a fricken shame. I know the sale of tags is illegal in this state.....

for anyone who has tried an angled and straight spotting scope what woudl be the advantages of glassing through each for big game? I am not sure what to get?

In North Dakota we have Plots land but it is far and few per deer hunting unit. You could probably hunt pheasants forever on it in the western part of the state though. We are seeing similar woes in eastern north dakota for land access. We are now down to tw0 landowners for accesss where we...

block management guides check out montana g nf site.......they have one for each region 1 to 7. They come out aug 15th every year. I dont' know about turkey but if you want to hunt mule deer, whitetail and if you can draw an elk tag there are millions of acres to hunt.

Did others notice on the draw odds for 2007 season that tag numbers or quotas have been reduced in some units.

I noticed on Colorado G N F website they have a program for obtaining access for hunting without paying a fee. I also noticed after getting excited about it that its only for non-residents........Does anyone know any different? Montana has millions of private acres available at no charge and...

i have another pick but i need to grab it off my video camera........its a side shot .............should be able to see the fronts....i won't say the unit but he is on public land in a general deer area.

yeah wyoming.....good guess...we saw about 3 or 4 that size and 3 larger ones..........this is the only pic i got cuz the critter was so close.........I spose in december they are not too afraid.....i was just curious who thought this was a shooter buck or not..........

i have narrowed my choices down to these three spotting scopes. Has anyone owned one of these? I believe the pentax is about 700 wiht the eyepiece and the meopta is about 900 and the nikon is about 1100.........need this scope for high country mule deer and elk hutning. thanks.

The unit is 100% national forest and yes 1/2 wilderness. I hear lots of bears too. I am going to give the special license a try.......I do know a lot of residents like that unit but i think it might be because of the roads and not the monster mule deer........we will see..

You can get them on Ebay. or you can get them from Eastmans but they are 500 bucks.......yeah i am not kidding.......
