    Restoration of Antelope Horns

    >Hey?nobody contacted me? Can you help? >I can send pictures. Most taxidermist should be able to do this for you. I definitely can, or you can take a stab at doing it yourself cause it is not hard at all. Get some of the apoxie sculpt, I would get it in a brown color too. Recreate the...

    SKULLS

To answer your question though, I prefer a beetle cleaned skull. Boiled skulls look naked when all the bones are missing to me. But then again I am like Z in that I like euros better than mounts. Had a buck euro mounted first and then shoulder mounted later, but after doing it wish I could...

Humidity Level Inside of a Gun Safe

I would not worry about it being too low, but being too high is something to worry about. I had mine set by a bathroom door once where it was picking up humidity from people showering and bathing, rusted all of my guns including my stainless guns which I didn't know was possible...

    SKULLS

@ snake river skulls, it doesn't sound like you offer a beetle only price. You could try that for those who do not want to spend much. I offer that to my customers that are looking for a clean skull cheap. Works out for me and then you won't have to degrease and whiten it...

    Euro mount question

In my opinion they look okay but it is usually my preference to put them back onto a real skull. marshtaxidermy.blogspot.com

    The new antler hunter

Well it didn't take long. We went out for a couple hours today to see if she even had any sense of what she was doing and this is what she found and retrieved. She could barely pack it but she did it. And then later we found a little 2 point that we had her retrieve but she didn't find it...

    squirrel hunting

I have hunted them my whole life. I used .22 when younger, then went to bows for more of a challenge, now my favorite is to hunt them with the big bore blowguns. Fun as heck. Last year I took my daughter with the air rifles, she got thirty some the first time out, but honestly air rifles is...

What can I do to make my 10 year old hunt more successful?

Here is my advice on making it a little more fun for the kids. I take my two girls hunting with me and they love it, cry if they don't get to go. And the secret is, make sure they are dressed appropriately, sounds dumb but make them comftorable. Decent shoes so they don't get blisters and...

    a neat bear skull

LAST EDITED ON Sep-27-15 AT 03:12PM (MST)[p]LAST EDITED ON Sep-27-15 AT 03:08?PM (MST) Here is a bear skull I just finished it was kind of neat, the hunter thought the bear broke his skull from falling when he shot it, but after cleaning it you could tell the break was from a while before he...

    Bear skull

I prefer elmers glue cause it holds strong enough, but if you ever wanted to undo it you can just wet the glue with a little water and it will soften back up and come apart without any damage.

    The new antler hunter

Just been excited to show willow off. She is not very old yet, still a pup but I have started training her for sheds. I am sure there are some dogs out there that find lots of antlers, but for me if she ever just finds one I will be stoked.

    ANTLER STAIN

I like to stay with naturals such as bark myself because they tend to stay looking nice. Sometimes though it is easier to match a white antler to a fresh one with acrylic paints.

    Novel shed mounts

I like that idea, only if the antlers were to be on the plaques more permanently I would run a couple of screws from the back to hold it. Another idea would be to have a couple hooks on the plaques so you could lift the sheds off and handle them or switch them out.
