140 Bergers and H4350 I've tried multiple loads and bullets and this is a great combo. Shot 2 big deer several antelope and a huge bear with it. Works great

I just bought one in 300 win mag. Haven't shot it yet but I like it so far. Gonna mount up a scope this weekend and load some rounds to shoot next week. See how it shoots.

I think the range is open Thurs through Sunday to the public. If not there are a few spots to shoot depending on when we get hammered by snow

I've been down there a few times recently and seen elk every time out in the sage. Lots of people around but that is some big country. If another big storm hits they will be all over out there.

Try closer to Hill City. Lots of deer move through right in that area.

Stay in Pinedale or Farson and hunt that side of the unit. I have hunted there quite a bit and a majority of the animals will be on the east side. You will have no problem finding lots of animals

I snowmobile in that very area quite a bit. Find lots of elk carcasses and see wolves or wolf sign often. Wish we could shoot those POS! Its too bad that the wolves can just destroy the calf population every winter around the feedgrounds here without getting blown away.

I think that is a cool buck for sure. I'd have a hard time passing him up. Cool looking country too

I will keep ya posted on the hunt. Its a 4 1/2 hr drive for me so I doubt I'll make it over again till archery season. Plan on spending a few days then just to at least scout it out and look over a bunch of bulls.

I have the 663 and think it is great. Got it for $1000 and for the money I don't think it can be beat. Great in low light

I drew a unit 22 bull tag. Pretty excited. Don't know much other than its great area.If anyone has any info about the unit I'd appreciate all I can get

That is the exact reason that saving up a bunch of points has never made a lot of sense to me. I can see 1 or 2 but why wait forever when you can hunt an area often and figure it out. Especially when Colorado has good genetics in most units.

Nope never been on there. Pretty sure there is quite a few units you can draw with 0 points. 2nd and 3rd

I would like to as I could draw better units also, but it messes up my opener here in Wyoming for rifle.
