Wife and I drew deer 13 January ? no elk. Daughter didn’t draw. Son drew deer September 2b and cow elk 10 November

Looking for a LO tag for unit 10 or 12 or 13 archery elk preferably unit wide. Any suggestions or anybody have any?

We have harvested 3 elk, 1 antelope, 2 deer, 1 bear. We have only gone 1 year without harvesting anything and that was on the apre-6 hunt last year. We couldn’t hunt the rut so that is the hunt we drew because of limited options for archery hunts not in the fall for elk

And I don’t put in for any hunts either. Mostly unit 12 and 13. Have drawn elk seven years in a row. Deer four years. Ibex 1 year. Antelope 1 year.

You are putting in for the wrong tags then. It is easy to draw a tag every year. My wife and I put in together and have drawn at least one tag, always elk, and usually a deer or ibex or antelope or multiple to go with. Now if you put in for rifle valle Vidal and Valles caldera and unit sixteen...

Just got a new sage pulse 4 weight in March to go along with my sage approach 5 weight and then the dumb ass governor shut the state down.

I already have my tags. Even if they say we can’t go, I will still be going turkey hunting.

Put in, plenty of friendly native New Mexicans that will help you figure out what to put in for and help you on your hunt if you draw.

Dude even if you know a unit and have patterned animals it's not a sure thing much less on public land. But for my first turkey I called in on public land for spring took me 5 years. Not saying it can't happen sooner that's just when it happened. But I killed my first public land animal...

Yes. Because to purchase a turkey license you have to buy the game hunting license. But in the reverse they do not start selling the spring turkey licenses until the draw is complete. So when you put in for a hunt it will cover you for spring turkey license purchase. If that makes sense.

My wife and I have drawn at least 1 tag each if not more (mostly more) for 8 years. Yes strategy and doing math and studying draw odds works.
