Would make a great advertisement being the first “guide” in Nevada to harvest a Moose. I don’t think I will ever have the need to look up a Moose guide for Nevada. However there is always a chance….right? I mean somebody is going to draw the tag against terrible odds right?

Not sure of the outfitter. He reaponded on a Facebook post when the tags were announced. I will see if I can find it again.

I gladly applied. There was a guide that has volunteered his services free of charge for any moose tag holder. As a first year resident I am exited for the draw on all species. I know my chances are slim on all. May have to rely on the FCFS system to get any tags.

I gave no idea about cheatgrass or it’s impacts, however what are the long term issues of spraying feed with glyphosate or other herbicides? We have been told they are safe for a long time, but recently studies are be showing otherwise.

That is the **** show of these tags. 1 hunter and half a dozen helpers running around per tag. Makes for an interesting hunt. I would be more upset with the party hunters than a guy filming an interview. I’m guessing the guys with a spotter on every knoll have ruined more hunts than Randy ever...

How hard is it to pick up a decent tag on here? Will be moving to Nevada around the first of the year. That should make me eligible for a resident tag around June? If so hoping to pick up a tag around then? What are my odds of grabbing something worth while?

I have had family hunt it 4 times in the last 8 or so years. With weather you can watch the deer come through sitting in camp,no weather it is slow and the deer are active early and late. They always hunted the north end of the zone. Seems to always be a few big bucks near janes reservoir too...

PCP air gun. Great option IMO. Can be refilled with a hand pump. Consistent pressures equal accuracy.

Very weird year. Hot,dry they seem to have a winter coat and are not moving. My dad killed a buck in X4 on Tuesday still in velvet. The desert deer are struggling.

Been hot and dry everywhere this season. With a bit of weather M9 could get good. Although it seems the monster bucks that once came through the Garden have become more rare.

The way the drought is going they may find Hoffa.

Looked almost pre rut. Huge neck. He was pretty big/blocky looking a few weeks earlier, but definitely put in some more weight.

Yes. Very few deer. We saw 2 really good bucks scouting. Found one of them but cannot find any others. Drought is hurting these deer in this area for sure.

First time I have ever really targeted a single buck, or been successful doing so.
