What are the laws for baiting big game in utah? I always thought you could not bait with anything. The reason i ask is i was just watching a show called pig man on the outdoor channel they were baiting elk with hay and bagged food on the extended unit. Whats everyones take on this?

was it an over the counter unit?

I drew 54 archery elk killed a 350 bull in that unit last year with a super tag gonna be fun!!!

I had the pleasure to hunt unit 40 44 45 and 54 this year saw a bunch of bulls in the area of lil smokey creek nothing over 320 but quite a few elk when i was in there they were HIGH on the very tops PM me for more details if ya would like

I got one. I had a feeling some changes were on the horizon. But with questions like "would you rather hunt a small buck every year or a big buck every TEN years" I just hope they dont go over board on this.I really dont want it to be like drawing an elk tag is now. Sure we have monster bulls...

Last year while on a mz deer hunt we seen some good bulls just north of the trailhead for the roadless area a guy camped next to us with an elk tag shot a pretty bull that scored about 370 pm me if ya need any more info

what size of bulls should i expect to find And with the later starting date do you think it will be better or worse than before?

A couple of questions for ya what caliber of bulls should i expect to see on this unit and there is a small roadless area on the bottom of the unit any body been in there?Any elk? thanks a ton chris
