Great bull and good times with your wife I'm sure. Was this her first elk and was this the Strawberry area? The Wasatch was a tough unit this year.

I Archery hunted the Strawberry area for elk gen season we saw very few elk of few bulls an almost silent. almost like a ghost town for elk.very dissapointed this year.

Well i would add Kings Camo to your list. I have a lot of it and still like it, even though it has been around for a while. Some of the other camo brands out now are pretty pricey.

You will get a lot of these kinds of responses on this unit, but it is true. Our family had 3 cow tags during the spike hunt and only saw 1 cow, 1 calf and 3 bulls. We hunted several days too.good luck.

as far as i was told it was 400 to 500 dollars for these guys just to gut and get it in your truck.i think most people that get this tag just make sure they bring alot of friends to help.

my friend told me they charge about 500.00.and no ranger went with them.but one follows behind you.ya them buffs are big big when you walk up to them.my friend had a bunch of guys with him to help clean an cut it up.he said it was a really fun hunt.

A friend of mine had a tag a few years ago.he told me you could shoot any bull.i don't think a ranger went with them.also their are a couple of guys that offer their services to clean and load it in your truck.but they charge alot to do it.
