Was up for 7 days last week. Checked 30 ponds and 20ish catchments. Saw 1 cam on a catchment, appeared to be an abandoned one from last year. I’d say they slowed down. Back up tomorrow for 3 weeks. Best of luck to all that have a tag.

Worst year in history, maybe not history but it was bad. We killed a 207 archery buck in 13b. Killed 4 old bucks in B on the rifle, 180-190. And a big cool old buck in A on the rifle. We’ll see what happens going forward. Age class is in the toilet and fawn recruitment is non existent...

I’d go to Tweeds Point. Mud too, pocum cove and Ide Valley. Very low density but there’s pigs in all of that stuff.

As far as javelina go on the strip, I’ve never seen them. There’s a big canyon and river that I think prevents them from making it up there. Could be wrong.

There used to be a lot of them but they have taken a serious hit the last 5 or 7 years. See a few every year but few and far between. Happy Hunting
