The application period is mid March to mid April. Tag results will be released around memorial weekend. Since his son will turn 12 before any big game season is open he can apply. Areas 16 and 17 can be good and easy to draw. Archery in 17 is just about a guaranteed tag

No we did not go in on horses. We packed in Saturday morning but didn't see the bucks I thought we would on top so we packed out Sunday and found good bucks in another part of the monitors. Going back Wednesday

5 tags for the area is correct. I was up on table for my archery deer hunt earlier this month and saw a lot of cows. We went up barley. If I had the early tag I would definitely focus on the south end of table. Awesome country and I'm sure the bulls will be up there with their cows come September

Anyone know of any nice bucks out of here this year? One of my favorite units just haven't been able to hunt it the past couple years. Never see any pics from this area on here either. Just curious

Got it done on opening weekend. Put a lot of miles on the boots. This bull was the best one we saw and I am more than happy with him. Couldn't have done it without a couple of really good friends and everyone that helped me out on here

Well me and my brother got it done on Saturday and put his best buck to date on the ground. It was a tough hunt and probably put over 10 miles on the boots and 1500 ft in elevation gains but it was well worth it! http://www.monstermuleys.info/photos/user_photos_2016/24946image.jpeg

Well drew my first elk tag with only one point! Not very familiar with this area and plan on making a few trips up there before the season starts. Thinking of starting around mount Jefferson. Anyone have any other areas that would be good to check out? Any info would be a big help!
