still haven't gotten my tag, it said I drew on the website, I called Helena and they confirmed I drew and said that tags would be mailed the last week of May. It seems that something is amiss, anyone else in that boat?

In my opinion, those are some great bucks for a unit that you can draw with 8 points! I would agree with Triple B that the Eastman's MRS is very weak, the typo's, grammatical errors, and misspellings alone were embarrassing and I read the whole book in an evening and didn't really learn...

Unit 74 is steep, rugged, shale, high altitude, tough, brutal. If it snows, which is does often and early, it is even tougher to hike the steep and rugged country and the elk and deer move down a few thousand feet to private land anyway. There is a reason it takes a boatload of points to draw...

Is there a lot of private land in Unit 40? GPS chip? How hard is it to get around, just curious because it is pretty easy unit to draw so I figured there was a lot of private land. Thanks

No problem, we got it done, thanks anyway. He shot a bull on the third day and we had a blast. He was true to his word and took the first bull seen, he was more interested in the meat and it has been very good! Took him 2 miles from a road and it took us all day to pack him out, 6 trips...

Howdy, My buddy drew a moose tag in Unit 100 and we are starting to hunt on 9/27. We have great intel on areas to look, talked to a great biologist, past hunters, and google earthed the unit. We are in good shape and should be able to find moose. He also says that he isn't trophy hunting...

I was told by a very reliable source that the buck was taken in X2 but a lot folks on MM are saying X5A. Either unit can produce a monster. I didn't hear the width of the buck but did hear it scored in the 240's. Has anyone heard more information? Thanks

I sure appreciate the information. I will do some more research and make a decision by draw time, it is always on my mind what to do with all these points, been doing a number of other states as well. Its a crazy game we play!

X2 on the California side, might have migrated in from the Interstate unit in Oregon, or just been a cagey old buck that lived in the garden until the rut started. shot last week with a governors tag.
