    Unit 39

As a resident I am not really sure what 6 points would get you, but maybe check into area 40 type 9 as well. I hunted that quite a few times and always got into elk. Maybe check Area 7 and area 19. No griz and quite a few elk.

    Unit 39

I think it's a good choice. That area gets a fair amount of pressure starting sept. 1 with General deer archery hunters and grouse season opens then too. So lots of shotgun rounds get shot off early September and I have found that the elk timber up quickly. This can be a good thing as a bow...

    Is 38 Type one it.

I would echo what the previous replies have told you about the area. If you have one less than max points there are far better areas to hunt with less pressure and bigger Bulls. I can even think of several general areas with far better trophy potential and less hunters- just have to fight the...

    Winter range bucks

Great bucks! That one with the hook kicker is a sweet buck.

    Wyoming late season tag punched

That's a great buck! You are right though, that's realistically the top end of what you are likely to see. Congrats! Those rut hunts are really fun.

    Unit 38 Type 9

This can be a fantastic archery hunt. There are a LOT of roads in this unit so getting away can be difficult. You won't need to do a spike camp as most hunts are day hikes. Look to mid September for the rut to start up. Also, if you can draw a general deer tag, you will run across some...

    Voter help in Wyoming

Typical scare tactics! Trauner has consistently pledged to support the rights of gun owners; the issue is nothing more than a GOP bugaboo.

    Utah Muzz

I lived in Utah for a while and mostly muzzy hunted-It seems to me the muzzleloader hunt was originally supposed to be a PRIMITIVE weapons hunt. Let's face it with sabots, scopes (even if they are 1X), shotgun primers and guns that can generate 2500fps it is hardly primitive any more, in my...

WYO license odds - way up from past

Math or statistics?its semantics, there was no attempt to impugn anyone?s numeric skills. The point I was making, is that not matter what system is in play the demand is always greater then the supply. I would support more primitive weapons hunts and more archery only options; I think both could...

WYO license odds - way up from past

As a Wyoming resident I would be strongly opposed to any type of preference or bonus point system for deer antelope or elk. I would support a waiting period for some tags, say 2-5 years before you could reapply, but I personally like the chance I have to draw a good tag every year, and even if I...
