I would say that X9a is the closest premium zone, but it is not close to Mt. Pinos area where I live. The closest is X10 and next X9b.

I have 11, but not sure where to spend them is the big dilemma for me. I do archery and would like to try that, however, the hunts are all so early. No easy choices for someone not experienced in Northern areas.

Only hunted 4 different, dismal zones, so I cant help. I will say that I live in and hunt primarily d13, which I will say, just might be the worst zone in all of CA.

They used to raffle tags in CA, now they only auction to the rich...no telling where the money goes and if there are any audits .
