Planning to purchase an STX-65 HD, or an STX-80 HD. Want the smaller scope, but is there a great advantage to the 80mm? I know, greater light gathering, but is it worth the weight, and expense for those few minutes? Can anyone of you who own one of these pass along any advice? Thanks, Iron

I eat it or I don't shoot it. More of a trophy mule deer hunter. Only shot 2 bucks in the last ten years. Avid water fowler. Eat them all. Really disagree with those in the waterfowl community that shoot ducks, but won't eat them. Very poor form!

I watched my buddies Remington 700 go off one morning by simply releasing the safety. After a quick discussion with my wife, I took my two boys Remington 700's to the pawn shop and sold them. Replaced them with two Weatherby Vanguard's. I couldn't take the chance!
