That is a great bull and cool story. Its funny how we get stressed or have butterflies in our stomach when helping other on a hunt. Especially when your not seeing many. Alot of times these type of hunts are more fun than having the tag yourself. You can't kill them on the couch!

I didn't draw my first choice elk either. The hunt codes don't show up when I log in. It only says unsuccessful for 2012 deer and elk. It doesn't show hunt codes anywhere?

Thats funny. My two biggest bucks where killed on general season utah hunts. I have hunted Wyoming and Colorado on hunts that take several years to draw but My best bucks where killed on general hunts. It's amazing what happens when you get out of the truck or off the four wheeler. :)

The older age class is a whole diffrent animal than a yearling buck. Most yearlings are shot from or near a road. As a two year old, bucks bachelor up with other older bucks or live alot farther from the road. They are not with a group of does and fawns close to the raod. They are much smarter...

My August buck from this year was 28-1/8 on the 8/21/10 and I measured him again on 12/26/10 and it was 26-1/2. :( He really only lost his spread. The mass and tine length were about the same as before. You can't kill them on the couch!
