Somewhere in Utah someone has a stuffed Pink Flamingo in their man cave.

I remember when a Snowy Owl showed up on Humboldt Bay one winter back in the 70's. It made the newspaper. A few days later some enterprising duck hunter shot it and got busted. (I knew the guy). It's now mounted and proudly displayed in the local Fish and Wildlife Office.

Yep, that is him.
I ran my airboat out of the SaltAire sailboat marina and set up big flocks of black silhouettes and had killer Teal shoots.
It was appx. ‘96 or ‘97’ish.
He would fly by my big spread of silos and while super tempted I never did pull the trigger on the little guy.

I used to hunt ducks down there and I was one of the first ones to see it after it escaped. I reported it to the Ranger there and he looked at me like I was freaking nuts. I said come on I’ll show you. We drove down where I seen it and it was gone. Then he knew I was nuts and I second guessed myself. Then that week it was reported on the news that it escaped and was hanging out down there. That made me feel better about my eye sight.
