JUST BOUGHT LOWLAND 1&2 THOUGHT THEY BOTH SUCKED. I WISH THEY WOULD PUT "BUCKS OF THE JICARILLA" ON DVD. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I would get every MuleyCrazy Video, you will not be sorry. They are outstanding.

Any of the Mossback or Muleycrazy dvd's are really good. I also just watched one by bearsear productions that was good. I know you can purchase many of these dvds right here on MM. Mike

Muley Crazy's are number one! On Track and Mike Brownlee production videos are also excellent.

If there is a VHS tape that you really like and own you could always burn it to a DVD.

I was given a dvd of "Bucks of the Jicarilla 4" yesterday so they are available. At least this newest one that is very good.

"mulies gone wild" by mossback productions. its great! Doyle and crew get some nice bucks and the last hunt on the dvd is of a idaho super tag buck 200 plus inches.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-15-05 AT 03:29PM (MST)[p]There is room for some improvement on lowland mulies 1 & 2 but to say they sucked.. come on. They were good and I'll probably get lowland mulies 3 & 4 when I can get my hands on them.
Eastmans mule deer videos are good if you can stand mike saying.."trophy mule deer ...public land" over and over.
Jeff

Aside from from the obvious Muley Crazy Series, I would also suggest the Magnum Mulies Series by David Long and our very own Buckspy. Two thumbs way up on them!!!!

I own them all and some are much better than others.

We tried to take what we liked about them all and put them on the "Never Enough Western Big Game" DVD. It is not a 100% mule deer, but it has as much or more mule deer than some mule deer only DVDs.

There are 12 mule deer hunts, with 3 bucks grossing over 190" typical. We've got some awesome live footage-including some of Deerkings indcredible footage. There's live footage of several bucks in the 200" range. I think the largest is around 228" nontypical.

One section list hot mule deer units in 8 Western states and has some sweet still pics of Deerkings.

I think the mule deer section of the DVD could stand on it's own, but there's a total of 20 hunts and 115 minutes of a whole lot of western hunting.

Here's a couple of pics.....sorry if you've seen them before.

Great, Another fan. Thanks for the compliment Bow4elk. Hatch always has monster bucks (muley Crazy). Doyle always has a sleeper buck or two, and a ton of hunts (Mossback Mulies) not to mention he is also a pretty good guy. Brownlee puts out a great vid with some great bucks (Mega bucks). David long, along with the world renown Mike Duplan have some of the best footage you will see (Magnum Mulies). You could buy Lowland 3 & 4 I'm sure you will love them. Heck for the great review, e-mail me and I will send you a couple copies on the house! I love chatting with new fans!

Steve

Steve, what ever happened to that triple dropped tined buck in your second vid? That friggin buck was awesome! NOT looking for a free vid, but I cant believe that someone would say that your first 2 vids sucked. The individual probably is a victim of harsh citicisim (sp) as a child. HA

Steve,
There is no way in hell your first 2 were crap. The guy must just have his head up his a$$. :) Who can look at all that great footage of monster bucks like Hattrick and not be impressed? Looking forward to picking up 3 and 4 in the near future. I do love the Horn Porn. :) :)

Thanks guys , I do appreciate the positive reviews as well. As far as Hattrick, we filmed him last year. He is in part three. He has went down hill a little considering that he is 11 to 12 years old now. You will really enjoy these next two vids They are by far our best work to date (and the music is much better). Have a great week. Keep in touch and I will get you guys copies out as soon as I receive them.

Thanks for the support

Steve

HEY BCBI$CH, EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THERE OWN OPINION. AND IF YOU WERE'NT HIDING BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN I'D PUT A FOOT UP YOR A$%!!!!!! P.S. YOU SHOULD TRY READING ALL REPLIES BEFORE YOU REPLY WITH SOME BULLS#$@!!!!

My 2 cents: Lowland vids are a step above Bucks from the Jic. The Jic vids are worth buying but are not as good as Lowlands! Whats your opinion?

LAST EDITED ON Jun-17-05 AT 08:11AM (MST)[p]bow4elk,
Hide behide a computer screen eh? This is a computer web site. Don't know how else you want me to comunicate. Letter? Morse Code? Smoke signals?
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion eh? Just not me? My opinion is you have your head up your a$$ if you don't think the footage of hattrick is impressive. :):) But, you obviously just came on this site to stir the ol' pot. Funny how guys like you like to stir it but once the tables are turned ya get all pi$$ed off. You gonna take your toys and go home?

BTW,
I highly doubt you'll like any of the DVD's mentioned. If you don't find Hattrick even remotely stimulating, then Goliath, Kong, Moses, Boss Hawg, the Old Master, Morty, Samson, Double Drop, Lumberhead, Popeye and all the others won't impress ya none neither. You should go back to watching your Jackie Bushwacker and Bill JORRRDEN videos. You'll find that is much more up your alley.

-Steve Dana (just in case this dweeb accusses me of hiding behind a computer screen again) :) :) Unlike our new memeber here, Richard P. ;)

Just one step above bucks of the Jic? I was thinking maybe two or three! LOL I might be a little bias however.

I see you are fairly new to the site or don't post that often. This will be a little info for you on this web site. This site is here to entertain and inform you on a sport we so cherish. It is not a site to bash one another for their accomplishments or what they enjoy doing in the sport. It's a site to celebrate the occasional harvest of an animal by a hunter, not point a finger and call them a poacher. Sure there are a few bad apples in the sport, there are in everything we do.

Your first post, took a few people by surprise, not a great post to try and get info from members. You redeemed yourself with the second post, then sunk your boat with the third post. BCBOY is a very respected member on this site and he was just sticking up for another member, to try and make something out of the post.

As far as Lowland Mulies 1 & 2, I don't think they are the best video on the market. They do however have some spectacular bucks in them. I have a passion and it is MULE DEER and I love to pursue them with a camera or a weapon of choice (more so with the camera). The editing and the music my not be the greatest but, that leaves room for improvement, and that something we all should strive for on a daily bases (that is of course, if you are not MOOSIE because he is already perfect).

Forgive me for the long post, most people skip right over these. I hope this puts a perspective on what this site is here for. Trust me if you look around you are not the only one bad mouthing people or products. I love constructive criticism, It's just the flat out bashings we can all live without. I loose total respect for someone when the come on here and start bashing people and I'm sure most the others on here feel the same way.

Now lets inform and entertain.

Steve

Steve,

That was very well put. I think this guy was the first I've ever heard bash your videos. I love LLM 1 & 2 and I can't wait to buy the others.

One of these days we need to hook up. I want to show you a picture from an old Eastmans' Journal I have that I would almost swear was hat trick. I think his main droppers where on the other side. He was shot in the same area too, just 15 years earlier.

Keep up the good work.

IB

IB

He is actually the second guy that has bashed the videos. But thats still not to bad of odds, if you ask me.

I would love to see the picture in the Eastman's journal. give me a call sometime and we will get together a swap some stories.

Congrats on the bear.

Talk to you soon

Steve

I would have to put in my 2 cents on this one. First off, this site is a great place to share your stories, look for info (too much given many times), and share your opinions concerning different products. BOTH positive and negative.

Now, I didn't really care for the Lowland videos. Closeups of dieing bucks turn me off. BUT, the winner for the worst video would go to ...... Burly Bucks. Longshots, wounded deer, man that was painful. I wish someone would have WARNED me before I wasted that hour of my life.

On to the positive. Magnum Mulies videos are great. Mega Bucks and Muley Crazy are good also, but there is always the cloud of past poaching that clouds them a little for me. I liked the new Incredibulls and Bucks DVD.

The best for me though would be the Extreme Bucks videos. Lots of live monsters, good footage, and decent to watch.

In my opinion, buy Magnum Mulies for hunting videos and Extreme Bucks for live footage.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-17-05 AT 07:51PM (MST)[p]There is always "personal preference" when it comes to any consumer goods we buy. I personally don't like green beans in a can, would rather eat them fresh from the garden. So do I get on the Jolly Green Giant's website and tell them green beans suck? Don't you think that many green bean lovers would flame me if I made such a declaration online. Would it be proactive to then call them out and tell them I'm going to kick their a$$es because they were "rude" to me?

One thing about this site (really probably most hunting sites) is that there are a bunch of wannabe's out there who, for one reason or another, just don't have the drive nor the ability to be real successful hunters. So, to compensate for their deflated ego's, they feel the need to constantly throw stones at those who are the real deal, who are truly successfull year after year. It doesn't matter what the deal is. A kill shot is too up close, the killshot is too far away, not enough killshots or too many killshots. The hunters are using helicoptors, hovercrafts, jetpacks, or have figured out how to use the space shuttle to find big bucks. It is on private ground, it is on Limited Entry units. They paid for the buck, the guides are jerks, the film maker is an egomaniac. The music is sappy, the music is too loud, the music is too soft. The pics of the hunt are too bloody, the tongue is out so they hunter is unrespectfull. A guy does a handstand over the buck, he must truly be insane. :) The hunter is just stroking his ego, it wasn't really a hard hunt. He is a road hunter or worse yet he is a POACHER. If you are on this site long enough you see it all. Hell it gets so nitpicky that I have seen whining about the hunter not wearing his hunter orange and whinning about the hunter is wearing too much hunter orange.
All I can say is, GET A LIFE. And if you open your trap, be prepared for an A$$hole like me to poke the stick at ya. :) :)

Steve,
My only problem with the videos was the soundtrack, like elevator music on acid. Everything else was awesome and I can't wait to see the next ones. I loved all of the live footage of the bucks, especially hattrick, and the dude who shot the jicarilla buck was classic " jicarilla baby". Keep up the good work.
Andy

Steve-
Loved your first two videos, have almost worn them out watching them over and over. Music, Schmusic, I love to see big bucks plain and simple and you had plenty of them. The shed scenes are sweet as well. Keep up the good work and I look forward to many more that you will surely produce in the future.

Let me know what you think of the new music. The hard part about music is that some people like country while others are a little rock and roll. You can't please everyone all the time and trust me I have learned that lesson these past few years. Thanks for the constructive criticism.

David

Thanks for the kudos'. speaking of vids, where are Ryan vids at? I can't wait to see all of that footage of that 295 monster! Keep up the good work with the magazine it rocks. Give me a buzz so we can talk some business. I would like to order the vids and possible put an add in the mag.

Do you have any hunts in the new vid thats coming out?

Thanks for the posts

Steve

2-point

Thanks for the 2 cents. it might of been a little close, I guess seeing the whites of an animals eyes as they die might offend a person or two. Once you pull that trigger though that is what happens and its real, animals die! If it was up to me I wouldn't have any kill scenes in the videos, but they don't sell. People want to see the harvest!

I love extreme bucks, They are the videos that gave me the inspiration to start making my videos. I own two copies of all five of them. By the way I am making a video for the travel commission and the parks and rec., without any harvest, we will see how well it is accepted. Nothing but live footage of monster bucks and bulls from the great state of Idaho.

Thanks for your 2 cents

Steve

1&2 are pretty good, If you have as many big bucks in 3&4 they will be worth the money. Thanks for showing us some great bucks and some pretty country too. The problem with BOW4ELK is these are Muley video's no ELK. LMAO

I bought Lowland Mulies 1 and 2 a couple of weeks ago on the recommendation of two guys who pretty much have all the muley videos. I thought the footage of Hattrick was outstanding - in my view, he's the most impressive buck that I've seen on video yet. The shot of him jumping the fence was fantastic, and I liked the split screen shot showing how much his antlers grew between July and August - you don't see that very often.

I can't imagine the pressure and stress of trying to get the best footage of the best deer and trying to please every single person in the process. My hat goes off to any of these guys that can do it successfully. Of course everyone has their own opinions of what a quality video should be, that is why it is our opinion. I have just about every mule deer video to ever be put out and in the general sense of it I would have to put my vote to Steve for his Lowland Muleys series. I love seeing the ladies in the first video taking some awesome mulies. I love to watch the footage of hattrick. There is something I like in each video I have but for me to sit behind my screen and bash on anyone of these guys about something I might not like would be absolutely ignorant.

I have not posted very much but have been with monstermuleys for approx. a year and half now and this is probably one of the most disrespectful and disgusting things I have ever seen on this website. I typically spend more of my time around here but as far as posting I have other websites that I would rather post to because of the lack of idiots.

Just to name a few; BCBOY, LowlandMulies, BUCKSPY, KILOWATT, and many many others, what you guys do is great, keep up the great work, even if others fail to see the positive in what you bring to us day in and day out, there are still many of us that appreciate it.

This is not a a&^ kissing session, just a guy that has been sitting behind his computer reading alot of the bullsh*t that has been posted around here in the past four weeks, minding his own business and finally having enough of it. Those that contribute to this site so much, my hat off to you again!!!!

I'll have to agree with psb. Muleys gone wild by Doyle Moss is my current favorite. Some great bucks and good hunt footage. Best mossback muley video so far hands down. Prism's video here Never Enough has some excellent muley hunt's as well.

I get almost all of the videos out there made by everybody.I love them all. I think that anybody who can get up close to a giant buck and get it on film is doing a great job. I really like the Lowland muley videos for several reasons. 1. Its just plain good. 2. Its great to see big bucks from Idaho. Sometimes it gets a little tiring to see video after video of the Arizona strip and the Jicarilla and Southern Utah. Like I said, I love them all. But give me a break, there are great deer in other places too. 3. They are professionally put together.
I did have a slight problem about Lowland Mulies #3 and sent a private email to Steve about it which he promply answered and explained his view but could also see my view. But I didn't publicly bash him. I can't wait for Lowland #4 and will buy #5 also whenever it comes out. Goodluck Steve and lets see more of those Idaho deer. fatrooster.

As you can see by the number of post I have , I sit back and watch a lot with out responding also. I do appreciate the compliment. To have my name mentioned in the same sentence as BUCKSPY what an honor! The same goes for BCBOY and KILOWATT they are all outstanding people. Most of the people on the site are good people there are just a few that don't know when they shouldn't chime in. Just like anywhere you go there will always be a few bad apples. Trust me I have ran into my share, however, my skin is getting pretty thick.

fatrooster

Thanks for the heads up. I do listen to all of the comments on the videos and do my best to make everybody happy. Everybody sees things a little different then the next guy, thats the hard part. Thanks for the compliments, 4 is on the way give me 1 more month.

Have a great week

Steve

I do not watch any of the deer video's, but Brian does and I know he has watched all of the Lowland Mulies more than once. They must be good!

Like I said, any and everyone that makes these videos does a excellent job and I couldn't imagine doing it myself! These few people have become somewhat of a nuisance and just absolutely disgusting for me. I remember a few weeks ago when there was a guy on here threatening BCBOY and at first I thought he was actually funny, but when the posts turned personal I couldn't take it anymore. I logged off and didn't come back, my question is this, how can anyone post negatively about these folks when they take the most amazing photos, video, or even killing amazing animals each and every year. It just doesn't make any sense to me. Seriously what is going through their pea brain minds! There is things that bother me about other hunters and sometimes even have negative comments but this is neither the time nor the place for that.

Keep it up Steve!!!! and everyone else!!!!!!!!

Thanks bigmuley, you should think about changing your web name to biglowlandmulies. LOL

BCBOY

have you got your copy of three yet! If not send me your address and I will get you out a copy it has a pretty cool update on Hattrick.

Mrs. Latturner

Brian has always told me that he doesn't watch those "dang videos". It's good to know that I got one on him. Thanks for the heads up.

Have a great week

Steve

Steve,

I actually have thought about it, however I don't think that I have actually graduated into that class of hunter yet. As hard as I try year after year I have yet to take the class of buck that I would consider taking me into the next category of mule deer hunter. I have lead a few friends into some nice deer, one being a 186" typical muley on the desert of my hometown. I had been watching this deer for a couple weeks and trying to make a move on him myself but on the last day of the season I decided to take a good friend that has never put a tag on a muley and wouldn't you know it, he got the deer. Which was just fine by me, as I would just as soon see someone else put their tag on a big deer since I have had taken a couple "respectable" deer in my opinion. This deer was taken on a area that was a general license and public land. So to say it was a accomplishment would be an understatement. I should send you a photo of him as you would appreciate the country we took him in.

"To have my name mentioned in the same sentence as BUCKSPY what an honor!"

And I thought I was the only Smart-alec around here sometimes.

To tell the truth, I'm flattered that Steve Alderman even knows who in the hell I am. I'm just some Average Joe with a some Canon cameras, and a straight shooting rifle and payed attention during one semester of creative writing. I still haven't figured out how to grow my own set of antlers so I can't take much credit for that.

bigmuley-Thats a heck of a nice thing to do by turning your buddy onto a good buck. You can hang your hat on that.

I suggest if you do not find what you like in any videos then try to make your own.
Heck I have enough footage of great bucks to make some myself but enjoy watching my own.
At least this way you get what you want and no worries on what anyone else thinks.
Best,
Jerry

Jerry,

I think you're on to something there! Why don't you and Deerking get together and make us all a big buck video? Just put something together that you guys like.

Now that would be one of the greatest of all time!

Steve

Bigmuley,
Aw now ya got me blushin'. LOL! Really I'm just a regular joe who just happens to live and work in some spectacular country is all. Like BS, I also am a smarta$$ who likes to have some fun on this site. Probably have riden the fine line of pi$$in' people off on more than one occasion. ;)

Lowlandmulies,
I haven't got your 3rd DVD yet. I already have it on my Christmas wish list though. :)I actually need to pick up 1 and 2 again as they have somehow gone missing. I'm sure I lent them out to friends who have lent them out to friends and they are now history. They were pretty worn out anyways. ;)

Bigmuley
Thats a great buck, you should post the picture for everyone to see. You should be just as proud of that buck as Andy is! Boy does he owe you one or what! That country looks allot like the stuff I like to roam around in. Nice work!

BUCKSPY

Where can I take that class at, I need some help with my sarcasm skills. You forgot the part about living in the back yard of some of the most unbelievable deer country in the states. It's just a little to high in elevation for this fat boy. Me like the flat land.

BCBOY

P.M. your address I will send you an early christmas present. I'm all out of 1 and 2 they won't be reissued for another month or so.

Have a great day

Steve

If I can email it to someone I would be glad to post the picture. Andy and I have since parted ways as hunting buddies but no hard feelings between the two of us we just don't hunt together anymore. I have gone back to my roots you might say and started hunting with my Dad again, as he always was my favorite hunting partner.

I enjoy the kill shots. If I'm watching hunting footage, I like to see the bullet/broadhead connect. I especially like replays and slow motion replays. Don't care if it's a big buck or a spike. Like to see where it was struck and what the animals do after the shot. That is just my preference. Don't like to watch the hunting shows on TV too much cause they don't always show the kill shot. I know one can't always get it on film, but it's cool when it is.

I absolutely hate it when the camera is set at the downed animal and the hunter comes up and says..."hey!...it's over here!" x(

Chef
"I Love Animals...They're Delicious!"

Do you guys know if there has ever been anything filmed in the Book Cliffs. Going there in Sept. and I am dying to see the country.

I enjoy pretty much any video out there, since I cant seem to get enough Mule Deer to cure my fix.

My all time favorites include, Mossback Mulies 1 and 2, Any of the Muley Crazy Series, the first 2 Lowland Mulies (Havent seen 3 and 4 yet), and the Magnum Mulies series, especially the last one!! (AWESOME!). The muley footage in Never Enough Western Big Game is pretty sweet as well.

My suggestion for the wanker who is criticizing everyone else's videos....try making your own, and we'll see how it turns out. And quit picking on BCBOY, dont you know he's fragile!! :)

SCOTT

There is a new guy close to being on the market. He has 4 different videos that he has put together. I am not sure what he is doing about selling them, but there are some awsome bucks on those videos (DVD's). The last one he did is called at first light. His name is Larry Bundy, and most of the deer he filmed are off of the strip. I think there is at least one 40" buck on each of the movies. Try calling him and seeing what he can do for you. I really think you would love them. (435)628-8312

I am very fond of the Mossback Muleys dvds. Doyle Moss did a good job putting them together. Its also one of the few dvds I can watch that my wife doesnt complain about the "honky" music playing.
I have heard good things from reputable sources about the lowland mulies, but have yet to purchase them.
Eastmans has some mule deer videos out that I would also recomend. There a little old school, but great footage and advice. Just my 2c. Good luck.
