New Mexico16A success

I just got back from a great elk hunt in New Mexico. I was fortunate to score on this nice 6x7. I would not have been able to harvest him without the help of those in my hunting party especially my long time friend Jason.
Also, a big thanks to maddglasser who gave me incredible insight to an area he obviously knows like the back of his hand. Thanks again to all.

Congrats on a great bull. maddglasser helped his 67 yr old father on a real nice 7x7 on Oct 4 in 16a as well.

Great looking bull,not that it matters but its always fun to know, how much did he score? Have heard allot of good things about maddglasser too, like to see a picture of his fathers bull if it is avaliable, love those gila bulls.

thanks everyone for the nice comments. It was a very fun hunt. As I mentioned before, maddglasser is the man. Just one of the many examples, he gave me very specific info on where to get verizon service, when I got there I thought to myself, why would I possibly get service here and sure enough it worked. We couldnt find service anywhere else on any peak or from any tower. That alone saved me 1 1/2 hr trip to Reserve a time or two. Most importantly his willingness to share knowledge of where to find elk was a HUGE help to me.
He told me also that he helped his dad take a great bull on the MI hunt. I would love to see pics as well.
We have put a tape on him but rather than say right off his score, lets get a few guesses first.

Great bull man and congrats. One of the better NM bulls I've seen this year as it has been a relatively quiet season down here. That is a great Gila bull regardless of the season and you should be proud of him. Not a lot of big bulls have come out of the Gila yet this season, though a couple have recently hit the dirt in the past couple of days. Great bull man. -Cody
