I would like to hear from the people who didnt get picked for deer this year to see how many people didnt get picked. To see what kind difference the draw will have or not have. So far seen maybe 3 or 4 who did not get drawn.

Sorry to heat bigbull1. What unit did u put in for? If u dont mind me asking.

I didn't. :)

If there happen to be leftover permits, what are they going to do and how are they going to give them out? My neighbor was planning on going over there and had no idea that they went to a draw this year until yesterday when I said something to him.

That will only be half of the equation...the other half is how many people didn't apply that used to buy over the counter tags? I know in some parts of the state, that will be a lot of people.

I have seen deer harvest data in the past on the G & F website that included numbers of hunters, but I can't find that information on there now - does anyone know where to find that? For example, in unit 34 (where I wade through the crowds to hunt), I believe there used to be 5,000+ deer licenses sold. This year, there were only 2,000 rifle tags available for each hunt, 800 archery tags, and 350 muzzleloader tags (total 3150).

Two more of us non residents didnt draw for 2B, but I just drew a Calif Antelope tag, that makes me 1 for 13 with 3 draws to go.

I drew a late rifle buck tag in 2b. Pretty pumped! Applied for over 20 tags this year. Applied in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and New Mexico for elk, sheep, deer, oryx, antelope, and deer and was fortunate enough to draw only this one! Was hoping to draw the muzzleloader elk tag in 34 or 36 too! Maybe next year! Buck_Mojo
