A call for help

Hey guys,
I saw that there were a lot of good MM people here that helped look for and find the lost scout in the Uintas a few weeks ago. I am asking for help again.
The scout who fell into the Yellowstone River last Friday was my cousin. At this point, his parents and the park service are basically just hoping to recover his body. With the river going down a lot this week, and its temperature going up, they think there is a good chance that the body will surface soon. They still need volunteers to help look for it.
I don't want to take any of you away from your families, but if you're looking for something to do this weekend, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Soup

Sorry about your cousin as well. I don't watch the news much, I hadn't heard another scout was lost. Hope your family gets some closure soon.

Where are they searching?

The search is based out of Gardiner,MT. He fell in the river just below Knowles Falls. There is a 14 mile stretch of river below that, that they are trying to cover. The country is pretty rough. If you go to www.topozone.com and do a search for Knowles Falls in MT, you can see a map of the area they are looking.

I wish your family the best.

I though you were talking about the Yellowstone River in Utah, and was really wondering why the heck the local news hadn't been talking about it more.

Please keep us informed.

Sorry to hear it. I hope you and your family can come to some kind of a conclusion shortly. The not knowing would be terrible... I just can't imagine how that must feel.

Good luck,

i was sorry to hear about this and i'm even more sorry to hear the boy was a member of your family. i mean no offense, but it sounded to me like no matter what the age, agility, etc. of a person that might fall into that section of the river it was a no-win situation. thankfully, none of the other troop members had the foolish thought of jumping in after him to try and save him or there would have been more lives lost.

a good friend of my wife's will be on watch at the gardiner bridge early tomorrow morning.

your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

soup, I am truly sorry for you and the family. My prayers go out hoping for the recovery this weekend....... Allen Taylor......

Sorry to hear that hopefully they will be able to find his body and bring the family at least a little peace. Good luck and God bless.......

Soup, I have been sitting here in AZ today wondering if everything is working out for the best. Sorry to keep posting but I hope all is well today and I want to thank any MM or other person helping out.......... Thanks, Allen Taylor......
