I drew the coveted and extremely hard to draw resident deer tag for the late season November area 128-129. They only put out 100 permits all together. This is the first time I have drawn this tag. I am so lucky. This is a guaranteed big buck area. A friend of mine drew it two years in a row.
After seeing I was succesful I started shaking and got a big head rush. I jumped out of my chair and gave a high five in the air and pushed my hand through the ceiling tile...ooops.
Yeah baby!!! Nothing like hunting during the rut for Monster Muleys! Now I just have to wait four months.

I don't know much about Wyoming deer hunting. But I do know a November hunt with only 100 tags has got to be pretty special!

Don't forget to post the pictures and story later.

A big "high five"!!!

Congrats on the great tag! Watch out for the bears. The first time I ever hunted WY was near Dubois, and we had a big male grizz come in and walk through our camp. He didn't appear to be the least bit afraid of us.

It is a great hunt, and you'll see tons of deer. A lot are easily accessible on public land, but I would start working on private access also. Did you backpack or horseback any of the Lower, Middle, or Upper Meadows in the Res? There are some dandies in those canyons, that only come across the river at night. I drew NR tags there back-to-back, and shot one good MD and one corker WT. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your tag. Forget the grizzlies and look out for those giant jackalopes. I once saw one with a saddle on it in Dubois and he had a monster rack on him. I hear that they can disembowel a grizzly with no problem. Goodluck! fatrooster.
