Unit 148 Wyoming

Like everyone else this is the time of year to request information. I have a region E tag this year and have a chance to do a unit 148 (just south of yellowstone and east of Jackson Lake) early hunt this year. I have never hunted in this area and have other tags so just trying to prioritize my time. I have hunted region H many times and it looks like similar country and I enjoy the high country hunts. Not asking for any specific locations just would like to talk to anyone who has been in the area and what it is like and what to expect. Please feel free to send me a PM

Unit 148 is a Wilderness Area and if you are a Non-resident, you will need a Guide/Outfitter.
I hunted for Elk out of Pacific Creek back in 1983 in Nov. and never seen any deer, only Moose, Griz tracks and some Cow Elk.
About all I can tell you, sorry I can't help anymore than that. It is rugged.
