WA opinions wanted

See the WDFW web page for a scoping survey of what the top issues should be for the 06-08 season setting. You get to pick 10. There are lots of good stuff on there such as managing mule deer for more quality, adding additional late buck areas, opening September rifle hunts for bull elk, going to a statewide elk tag. I even wrote in for one of my comments, move up the drawing date to earlier in the year.

Here's a chance to make your voice heard and maybe see some good changes in the state. WDFW may not always do the best job but I appreciate this survey and giving people a voice before the recommendations come out.

Got er dun, maybe this will help with some of the issues this state needs to address in my opinion anyways. The main thing besides the permit rsults, is having a shed huntin season or something there is allot of people out there in jan. and feb. chasin these deer around, I dont think that can be very good thing but who knows

Guys who want to hear the results of the limited entry drawings earlier should say so on this survey, it might do some good, also if you want to see the limited entry mule deer hunts expanded, let them know. Let's quit whining and let the state know what we want to see with our big game seasons.

Ridge, heard anything about the kapowsin tree farm raffles. Ive been looking on there site but they dont have results up yet. Im hopin for that rosie tag.

I haven't heard, last year I heard that they called the winners on the day of the raffle, well my phone hasn't rung so that probably isn't a good sign. I would call out there to find out for sure though. Like you I am hoping for one of the elk tags.

3 guys have there names down twice like they each pulled two elk tags, thats a crock if thats true, i asked her about it. waiting for her answer.

That sure does sound like a screw up on the Kapowsin drawing. I also noticed that one guy who was listed on both the elk hunts also drew a deer hunt.
It seems a little fishy to me. I didn't realize you could get drawn for both areas for elk tags. I think they just screwed up.

They had to have screwed up, the odds of that happening are astronomical if it did, just one guy getting drawn in two units, let alone 3. Hopefully my name will show up next.

What if one guy had bought 90% of the raffle tickets??? Or is there a limit as to how many one person can buy?

the elk raffle is capped at 4,600 tickets and the deer is capped at 3,000 tickets and you can not buy more then 30 tickets per hunt. I hope they fix it or it looks a little fishy.
