Anybody out there get theirs also? I got mine two days ago and had some time this a.m. to go through it. Looks very clean and I have to say this is the first time in years that I haven't looked at it for 5 minutes and put it in the "pile". Great start and new improved look. Its been a long time coming.

Big time kudos to Vince Martinez a.k.a. here on this site as
Vince (Colorado) for what I believe is his first magazine cover shot. :7 Very nice shot Vince. ;-)

I got it last week and really enjoyed it. Everybody on Monster Muleys should join the Mule Deer Foundation!

I understand Ryan Hatch and Muley Crazy have taken over the publication, layout, etc of the MDF magazine. Sounds like they have made quite a difference.

I got mine today, much improved. I too didn't give it much of a second glance in the past. I renewed for the cause, not the magazine, however it is a vast improvement. I actually read some articles this time. Pictures, stories and content are vastly improved.

Yep - much improved. I hope it generates more interest in the MDF. I've been a life memeber for a long time. Thanks David and Ryan, plus kudos to Vinnie.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-24-05 AT 10:20PM (MST)[p]Yea, it's a new look for sure, and it has been a looong time coming.

Buckspy, thanks for the compliment and for mentioning me. Yes, it is my first magazine cover.

Kilo and ICM, it appears you've mistaken me for Vinny from New Mexico. I'm Vince Martinez from Colorado. It's okay though, I don't mind...Vinny is a good guy :)

Thanks Guys for the compliments.

Later,
Vince (Colorado)

Yes,

Mag is greatly improved!

Been a member and a volunteer since 2000.

MDF is a great orginization. Especially since the changes.

Bryan Frazier - Board member is a great guy. Should see even more improvements over the next year!

I would like to see MDF get as big as RMEF. I believe if that happened MDF would be putting 2 times as much money on the ground as RMEF currently does!

Have a great day all

What amazed me was the arrogance of the RMEF over the last few years and the way they alienated hunters and long time supporters in favor of politically correct rhetoric. Now, we are seeing photos of hunters and their elk and a reality check with the wolf situation in the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem and the lost hunter opportunity that went along with this l0ove affair with wolves.

In their new magazine, Tony Abbott had the seeds to address the wolf issue right off the bat. You have to admire that.

The MDF magazine is defnately worth the price of admission now and I strongly encourage all members/mule deer hunters out there to join up.

Thankyou for the kind remarks. The magazine is a product of the organizations new direction.

Ryan and David and Muley Crazy have taken over the magazine, we are truly impressed with the 1st issue and look forward to further improvment. If any of you have suggestions plaese let us know.

This will be the finest conservation magazine printed. This magazine is for you the member, so do MDF a favor and tell a friend.

Yours in Wildlife

Tony,
So, why don't you give us some info on how to join MDF? Seems like this would be a great spot to pickup some new members. I know I would be interested (as long as MDF doesn't follow RMEF, I let that membership expire quite some time ago, without any regrets!)

he and me have the same name! but no relate!! maybe a distant cousin!

Mike, I agree! I love the improvements! I read the mag from front to back the same day I received it... I couldn't put it down!

Theodore Roosevelt once said, "The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation, INCREASED and NOT IMPAIRED in value."
