Colorado Unit 54

I'm just starting to scout for an archery deer hunt I have in unit 54 of Colorado. What a beautiful place! I am really excited to hunt that high country for the renowned bucks that live up there. This is a dream hunt for me. I was just wondering if anyone could point out some general areas that tend to have high deer concentrations for the early archery hunt. I plan on strapping on a backpack and jumping around from basin to basin until I find the buck I want. I have done a little exploration around Mount Gunnison. Just wondering if there are some other good areas to look into. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to everyone in their hunts this fall!

Steelhead,

Mount Gunnison used to be my chief stomping grounds. Lots of places with real good bucks, especially now. One big problem for you. Mount Gunnison is in Unit 53

To my chagrin, I found that Beanman is absolutely correct. I misread the unit descriptions. Looks like I'm back to the drawing board. I guess I could really use some suggestions now. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to begin scouting again? By the way, I sent you a private message Beanman.
