Which Pattern?

This August I'll be chasin' big mulies in country like this. My question is what would be a good camo pattern for this type of country? I currently use Natgear but it even seems a bit dark (and somewhat noisy) for this area. The bucks are heading for the rock at first light so it'll be hard to even catch them in the green stuff. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Sorry, I forgot to attach the image.

jerkee,

natgear would be perfect for this country.
I wear the pants almost everywhere I hunt
change tops to match surroundings.

I would say the perfect camo for this terrain is the "outfitter camo" from Cabelas in either the Berber fleece or Microtex clothing or wool. It dissolves right into the rocks and is what a great many sheep and alpine hunters have chosen over the last few years. I would go with Microtex pants and a berber fleece jacket. Its almost as important to have non-relective fabric as the color of the camo.

I have the Microtex outfitter camo but it kinda has a shine to it and I wasn't sure if they'd be able to see it or not. What do you think?

Natgear is definitely effective as I have had friends walk right by me on hunts but I'll be backpacking in and I was just worried that if it gets wet then it'll take a while to dry. Plus the stuff I have isn't the quiestest material around.

Nat gear would probably work well, but I gotta thing some Predator Deception would be about perfect for that country. It disappears in rocky timberline stuff.

That ain't no "rock".

;)

Best camo out there, ESPECIALLY for this terrain!
Actually, all kidding aside, Predator Fall Gray,
Predator Deception, or my all around favorite...ASAT.

I second Chef's motion, Predator Deception or the Fall Grey is perfect!! My brother uses ASAT, another fine choice, they really work well. The Realtree stuff looks great up close, but blobs and looks too dark and obvious at any distance.

I like to use natural gear but the predator deception and lighter color styles work to as long as they don't darken up at a distance. You also have to choose a material that will keep you dry and warm, I'm not sure if there's anything in natgear that is goretex or waterproof really.
