well I met up with one of our clients and we decided that we would go camping for the opening day of bow season. we got up as the sun was coming up, had a cup of java and headed out we started see deer right away, mainly does and fawns. we rounded a bend and there right beside the road was a 18in 2x3 with a nice 30in 2x3 which gave us the slip, but it was fun trying a stalk. we went up a little farther, seeing a few more deer and a few bucks but nuttin worth going after, we started to glass another canyon when we spotted a good buck feeding about 1000 yards out. we glassed the entire canyon and he was the only deer there which would make for an easier stalk, he finnaly went to bed around 9:30, and plans were made for a stalk, we jumped in the jeep and and went around to the end of the ridge the buck was on let out the client and drove back to watch and make sure the deer stayed ther. he got into position at about 10-15 yards away from the bedded deer but couldnt see him. so he tried to throw a few rocks to get him up, which he got up, looked at where the rocks landed and bedded back down. he threw a few more and and around 11am he was up again, and stopped at 30 yards, the arrow went in behind the shoulder and exited the through the juggular leaving us with a well bled out deer. I got on the cell called another guide to help out he was gonna meet us at the bottom of the canyon which was about 1.5 miles.

the buck was a 27in 3x3 with nice eyeguards and an exceptianal bow deer
