LAST EDITED ON Aug-17-05 AT 10:20PM (MST)[p]That would be one funky looking buck with 33 inch inside spread and only 20 inch mains. As for which one scores better, you need to tell us what the rest of the mainfame looks like. More to a rack's score than just the mains and inside spread.
Here is the way I see it. If everything else was exactly the same other than the main beams and the inside spread then the buck with the 24" inside spread would be 9" larger than the buck with the 33" spread.
33" Buck
20" Main beams = 40"
20" Inside = 20" (inside can't exceed length of longest main beam) = 60"
I may be wrong and i am asking if anyone knows for sure, but i don't see that SCI has that rule. All their scoring form asks for is the inside spread of main beams. I don't see any mention of the inside spread not being able to exceed longer main beam.
