I've been working up loads for my Browning A-Bolt .270 win for a couple of months and have a choice to make.
Load #1: 130gr Nosler partition going approx 3000 fps,grouping 3 shots 0.5 inches at 100 yds.
OR
Load #2: 140gr Nosler Accubond going approx 2700 fps, grouping 3 shots 0.25 inches at 100 yds.
I will be hunting in fairly open country where I expect to be shooting around 300 yards. I like the 130s for the speed and flatter trajectory, but I like the Accubond bullet in 140 gr. Does it really matter? Probably not significantly, but what would you choose?
