Pics for Muleyslyr

My favorite place in Eastern Montana. (I always laugh when people from western Montana call me a flatlander)

Again this is your public land

Great pics, NEMont.

Looks a lot like the view on the south side of the lake ("eastern Montana flatlanders" - makes me laugh).

I'll bet Custer didn't see any squaws like that when he was in eastern Montana.

But most of all, lots of room to stretch your legs.

RE: Pics for Muleyslyr

great pictures from all of you.
looks like the girl's studying hunting topo maps,
figuring out the lay of the land.
Smart girl, she'll make a great hunting partner someday.
How do you guys hunt such flat country?
Looks like spot and stock, and a good flat shooting gun.
seriously it looks dificult with all that loose rock.
and ridges that would skyline you all the time.
Not to mention Hot.

RE: Pics for Muleyslyr

AWESOME!!!! Some of the best sh!t I've seen on here in a LONG time. Just hard to explain to someone how great that country is unless they see it or have actually been there. Won't be huntin' it this year but at least driving through on my way to Wyoming.

Don't we all agree that a war of GREAT pictures are a hell of a lot better than fightin' about ATV's and other crap.

Thanks.....keep em' comin'.

Thought I'd through a coupla' my favorite spots over there I go to.

RE: Pics for Muleyslyr

I usually get to a good, high lookout point and glass the coulees. After that, it's spot and stalk. The ridges and coulees make for great cover in the stalk, but it's hell packing them out.

As for the temps, I've hunted elk in Septembers where it's been 90+ degrees on some days, and has snowed on others. Pretty exreme place.

Here's a pic of my buck from last year. It was a 3 mile pack out from where he was shot.

Nice pics Muleyslyr! That little hotty on the dock looks like she's done on the back side. Needs to be turned over! :)

Thanks for sharing them pics with us.

RE: Pics for Muleyslyr

Thanks for the pics. I love hunting that kind of country. Reminds me of the areas I hunt in Pine Unit in the south eastern end of Montana. Just a couple more months and I'll be home for the hunt. Thanks again NeMont
