Went out this mornig to do a little bow hunting/scouting for the Muzzle loader hunt. Ended up finding a 8x7. He is not huge but I couldn't resist the double droppers! I will post some pics tomorrow.

I take it that when you said "SHOT" you meant by camera, right??
Will be looking forward to seeing the pictures and thanks.

No, I meant Shot as in with my bow. I have a dedicated hunter tag so I can hunt all three hunts. I usually just use the bow hunt as time for scouting and conditioning. Just so happened that things worked out for me this morning. I am having problems with my computer and I can't post my pics. If someone has an e-mail, I will send them to you to post the pics.

Here are the pics of muzzle's buck

That is an awesome buck great job man.

swaaaeeet deer,

rubbed his velvet off already? pretty early isnt it? by the way what makes em rub it off? i mean i thought it was at least mid sept. at the earliest they did that

That's one cool buck and hardhorned to boot. Congrats! Weird he's hard already, I haven't seen any hardhorned yet. I'd say he's huge enough:)

Man, that is one awesome buck. Congrates!!!!!!!!! Any idea's on his age? If he was a youngin, he would have been very, very scary in a couple years. Sweet buck.

muzzle,

Congrats to you on a nice buck, those droppers are great added attraction, nice going. Didn't realize you had your bow with you, just thought you were out scouting like you said, but it paid off for you big time, again congrats.

I don't know what makes them rub off at different times? I always thought that the little guys rubbed off before the larger ones but in this case it was backwards. The other smaller bucks he was running with were still in full velvet. I wasn't going to complain though. The taxidermist I took him to thought he was maybe 5 years old but more likely 4 years. That kind of surprised me, I thought he woyld have been older. Can you imagine what he would have looked like in a few more years?

Congrats on a great looking buck! Nice character.

What a deer and to think he was so young. It is amazing that a deer can grow that much bone in just a few months. Congratulations on a buck of a lifetime.

There isn't any trash on him, but for 1 1/2" maybe. He might even score as a typical the way things are so symetrical if that were possible!

Congrats on a spectacular buck.

Cheers,
Pete

What a good looking buck, you should put him on a pedestal like founder (Brian) did a few years ago. Can find charachter like that in too many places...

Funny enough, the same guy who did Brian's buck is going to do mine. I saw Brian's and it's really nice but my wife was standing there when he said what it would cost to do it and that pretty much ended that conversation:( Maybe i'll have a talk with him LATER.
