I live fairly close to that area and always hear stories about the local farmers seeing huge bucks there. It seems that the big bucks are almost magical, like unicorns, everyone sees them just before the hunt or at night, but nobody ever gets one.
My neighbor, a fish and game officer, used to fly it in a helicopter counting antelope and said he saw big bucks. However, he never hunted it so it made me wonder.
There must be some truth to the rumors. Why don't you head down there and hunt along the river and let us know.
