THanks for the comments on the buck and mount.
Had lots of help before I was able to enjoy the final product. One of the ear's on the original cape was in pretty bad shape so we couldn't use it. But thanks to David and Carey we were able to replace it with this beauty.
Taxidermist told me that my buck looked really good but that he had a big ole hole in the side of his neck because he winked at him, so he had to make sure he was dead. Love the work he did, not to sure about his sense of humour

Thanks, Deerking. My buck last year had a very whie face, but sadly the mount came back brown. The rack also shrunk 2" in outside spread. It was in velvet but the taxi assured me that they knew how to prevent shrinking. Hopefully I will need to call him in the next week or so.

Steve - I never had the buck officially scored, but my taxi and DK taped him at 185 with a 30in spread and that was good enough for me
