If hes not falsely claiming it as his own and isnt trying to make money on it, copyrights wont matter.

on edit; Let me clarify that............. so long as the photo wasnt "lifted" without permission, such as stole from another website or magazine or the such. I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that the original poster here had a photograph e-mailed to him by the person that took it and was just having trouble getting it posted here?

When I was dropping off a head at the taxidermist this week I saw the antlers plus took a lot of pics, that thing is awesome. Not sure if it's my place to post them though. From what I understand the hunter or that group is trying to lay low for a while.

I'm not sure where the picture came from to be honest, someone sent it to my dad and he sent it to me. The buck is an absolute toad, but maybe it's not my place to post it??? I'm sure it will be on the cover of every hunting mag soon enough....Sorry guys

I dont think Jed wanted his pic on the internet yet. I'm surprised the Taxi let you take pics of it. What do you think a buck like that is worth? Not to say that I'd sell it, but having your pic with a hoyt bow should be free bows for life. LOL Russ Lets see who wins Muley Crazy T.H. or Eastmans.

I had pics at the kill sight e-mailed to me today. What a toad!! I don't know were the email orignated from.

Man this really sucks. My blood is pumping with just the anticipation of seeing this hog. Please send me (or post) some pics so that I can get my fix. I hate this waiting.

Can anyone tell me about this buck. Is it in the velvet or hard horned? Was it taken with a bow or rifle? And if ANYONE has pics can they email me one?

The pics I took were at the taxidermist and the antlers were already cut off the skull. The buck, from what I understand, is from CO but the taxi is in UT.

I asked if it would be okay to take pics and he said, "why not...since everyone else has come in to look at it or take pictures of it." I'm sure the hunter will post when he's ready or it'll be in the magazines before you know it.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-20-05 AT 08:59PM (MST)[p]I checked out that bad boy at the taxidermists also... That thing is incredible. The hunter done an excellent job taking care of the velvet too. It looks great...
We need a story about this incredible buck!!!

A bad day hunting is better than a Good Day at Work!!

I guess antlerrick just answered the question if it will be a new world record. Not with the velvet on it won't.

No and D13er should know as he is a measurer for both B&C and CDA. If anyone of you are members of B&C and/or get their publication called Fair Chase, in the latest issue I just received today, there is a picture of D13er on page 62 with his Typical Coues Buck taken early in 2005 in Mexico.
Congrats to you Jef with that great Buck.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-20-05 AT 11:08PM (MST)[p]Pope & Young has a velvet category; however, the buck would be quite a bit short of the 264 P&Y buck taken off the Kaibab in 1993. In any event, Ulmer's buck is a magnificent trophy.

They are not talking about Ulmers NV deer, they are talking about the CO high country buck killed a couple of weeks ago.

Will someone please post (or email) me some pics. Seems like everyone has seen pics of this brut but me. I am feeling very left out right now.

Jeff

Someone just sent me some pics at the kill site of a big ol' non-typ buck claiming it was the "new world record". I can't really see how it could be, it looks big, but not that big. For anyone who has seen the pics, tell me if your pics show a guy, with camo, but no hat, holding a velvet antlered buck (maybe 10x10) in a big green bowl, few pines in the back (mostly brush, grass on rock ledges), patches of snow up high.

I just don't see it being the new world record??

Rut

So that is the right deer then? I guess I really do need to see some more pics, because like I said, it looks big, but not that big.

Rut

That's it!!! When I shoot the new World Record Typical in a coupla' weeks I'm not showing you guys any pictures....so hah!!:)

Rut

That is the same picture I have seen. I agree it is a huge deer but I see a 200" typical frame and about 30"s of non typ. The current P&Y WR is 274". I could be totally wrong but...I hope I am wrong, I would love to see a new WR.

I saw a pic this moning. The buck is huge, but I have to agree with muley62 on the size and the current P & Y world record. I have been known to be wrong before, lets hope this is one of those times. I would love to see a new World Record.

Looking at it again, his main frame is between 200-210" plus he has an inline on both sides that are probably 10-12" each plus he has another close to 30" in trash bringing my estimate in the neighborhood of 255-265" which, give or take 10 inches and he's right up there with the best, but I'm thinking he will measure closer to 260". Obviously with that much horn it's easy to be off by 10-20 inches especially when I'm GUESSING lengths off of a picture. Nevertheless, this is a trophy of a lifetime and any hunter could hang it up knowing that they would never top it!

I finally saw a picture of the beast. What a freaking truck this thing is. I wish i could post this for everyone to see but not my buck.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-22-05 AT 06:04PM (MST)[p]Are you freakin kidding me!! well its all down hill from here. What a great deer congratulations.

COOL!
I never seen eyeguards that were lying down though! I am not sure about the new record too!

Dang it man!

OSOK, Deerking, and Sneakum! How did you guy's miss this one in your travels of Colorado? What a Buck!!

Someone mentioned in an earlier post and he brings up a good point. If they can save the velvet it may make the new WR in the velvet catagory. The current P&Y book show the WR at 246 2/8". It could be that big.

Those Pro Photo B&C Scorers, need I remind you guys of that 270+ monster taken out of Sask a few years ago that everyone was looking at the pic and saying 'No Way! That buck can't score much over 230'. It ended up winning the best Muley Award at the most recent B&C Awards. LOL! Some of you have really proven you can't photo score worth $hit. LMAO!!!!
