Headed out in a week to hunt muleys on a ranch that is a bunch of crops, and then sage, coulees, and cheatgrass. I've never hunted muleys in country like this, primarily only in the mountains or high country, am looking for any advice. The pack out will be easier I expect.

those deer usually move right at 1st light towards bedding cover usually tall sagebrush, it will be warm during the day and they will be in shade. I like to get some elevation and be glassing away from the sun(at my back) with the wind blowing in my face as it starts to get light. If you see a buck you want move on him right away, close the gap and get the shot. You are hunting "Buckrun"? I hunt a few miles north of there.
