Wyoming Opening Morning

Finally scored on a big deer. This is the first buck i have shot in eight years. Snuck up on him in the aspens and let him have it. He is only 27 1/2 wide but i grossed him at 193 2/8. He really gets killed by the 8 1/2 inline on one side. Which drops him down to 181 1/8 net typical.

Congrats on a super buck. And it is great to hear from someone who waits for a big one before he harvests. I can't hardly wait 8 years in between bucks, so congrats on your discipline, too. If you get a picture or want to share details (but not location) that would be an added bonus.

Ever heard of SCI scoring? They give you credit where B&C takes away. In my book you have a 193 2/8 buck and that's a brut!

He is only 27 ?? wide? As I was reading your post it sounded like you shot a smaller buck until you got to the point that you put the score. Sounds like a heck of a buck to me. Congrats and waiting for some pictures.
