I just got back from Idaho and I had a great hunt. I was in some steep country and I didn't see another hunter. My buck is not a monster, but I am sure happy with him. Good luck to everyone else.

Your killing me!!!. I can't go to Idaho this year and that looks just like the country we hunt. What unit? (if you don't mind)

Ridge, I work for Boeing and we just got off strike. Plus I have three teenagers..A senior in high school man it's gotten expensive to be a senior "female" in high school. Proms, home coming, tolo. I also have a Sophmore "female" in high school man it's gotten expensive to be a sohmore "female" in high school, proms, homecoming, tolo's. Not to mention my son who's a freshman in high school MAN, it's gotten expensive to be a freshman "boy" in high school, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, homecoming. I'm not only broke but to damn tired to go hunting.

Nice buck Daxter! Congrats to you. At least you are lucky enough to be out there already, instead of at work like myself. Good mass on that guy. I'm curious as well, what unit were you hunting??

Nice buck!

Sweet Buck.. Love the highth and the mass on this buck. He's a great one! Congrats on your success.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-12-05 AT 03:07PM (MST)[p]We were in the sawtooth nat. forest. I think it was unit 48, near Sun Valley. There were quite a few road hunters but I hiked a few miles back in (felt like a few miles straight up) and didn't see anybody else. It took most of the day to drag him back to the road. I was totally wiped out afterwards, but it was a good tired.

I DON'T SEE ANY WHEELER TRAILS,MY KINDA PLACE!!!

THE ONLY bobcat GLAD TO KNOW THERES STILL A PLACE LIKE THAT LEFT!!!

Nicely done. Congrats on a helluva buck. Incredible mass, he had too go down. Glad your drag was downhill.....

Great buck. My buddy took a buck in 48 a couple years ago. Not that big though. Wish I was there this year. I got outvoted when we picked where we are going this year. So we are hunting NM instead of Idaho.

Nice deer, good mass. Nice to hear someone who gets away from the roads, finds fewer hunters and more deer.

Daxter, I hunt unit 49! (except this year) That's the type of country I love to hunt. Steep and very few hunters if you get away from the roads. It usually takes all day to get our bucks back to camp. Congrats on your buck.
