Has anyone heard of the 1872 Mining Law Reconcilation Bill? If anyone hasn't it may be a good idea to take concern. It intends on making millions of acres of public land private under loopholes in the law.
I'm not exactly sure, but I believe I heard somewhere that that could be about one-third of public land in the West.

I also read an article in the Las Cruces Sun News a few Sundays ago by Dutch Salmon from Silver City. Real good article on how this bill would affect SW NM. I've been trying to find it on the web without any luck.
