Garrett how was Montana

Wamuledeer, how was montana this year, we havent heard how your hunt went?

Bear- thanks for asking. The Montana trip its self was awesome as always. went over the friday before thanksgiving like the 17th or something and went home the Sat after thanksgiving. so spent a lot of time. But the week we hunted the weather was baby blue skys with temps up to 74 degrees. pretty much stopped the rut except for the little baby bucks. The ranch we hunted sadly had been over hunted before we had gotten there. We could have taken a a lot of bucks as were saw 30 plus bucks everyday. We left the muleys alone after a few days because there wasnt anything bigger than 20 inches there. And thought we would go after whiteys again. I really tried to get my dad a trophy whitey since i had taken a really nice 6x5 last year there. Well there was nothing like that to be found. We pretty much had every whitey named by friday and nothing there that we wanted to take. lots of small 3x3 and one 4x4 that was it. So who knows. We know the ranch very well this was our 11th or 12th year there. So the hunting was not good and we came home empty handed. But saw lots of animals, deer, elk everything. Got to hang out and have dinner with our rancher friends and enjoy the vaction and spend the time with dad so i can not complain. Just wish we could have gotten one for the ole man!! So sorry boys no pics this time. Now its the waiting game till next year!

Sounds like you guys had a good trip anyways, probably not to disapointed after taking that trophy swakane buck, hopefully I will get my eniat tag next year. James

Bear- ya once i got home and looked at those horns and check out those pictures again i was feeling pretty good Hey man if you draw that tag let me know i would love to go along. Hell i am hoping my luck is just starting and i am going to draw Entiat with no points next year One can dream right?
