Deer rutting in AZ 16A yet?

Does anyone know if the deer are rutting in 16a yet? My son has one of the junior muzzleloader tags there.

I'm not sure about 16a. I've been scouting for my archery hunt and they are deffinatly in the pre-rut. I'm hunting the central deserts and I'm a ways away from 16a but I'm sure they aren't too far from it up there. Its been nice and chilly all over AZ so they should be starting soon. I don't think you'll have any problem at all.

I am thinking the Full Moon will be affecting the rut as well as the late Archery Season

Heard of two nice bucks taken already on the hunt. One a 30" 3X4, the other a nice 4X4 in the 20's.

I haven't been up for a few couple weeks so I am not sure what the deer are doing. My 13 year old daughter and I will be across the highway from you in 18B. She was fortunate enough to draw one of only ten Juniors only tags. Unfortunatley she has a cheer meet this weekend and Christmas the next, so we probably will only be able to hunt the last 4 days of December.

I'm kinda interested to hear what others are seeing. Good Luck!
