Should have joined us this year - we had a really good year. 198" 6 3/4" bases,186" 6 3/4" bases,182" with 4" dropper and 32"wide,179" with 6" bases 29" wide and one weak side (would have been in 190's had matched),178" 7 1/2"bases and no back forks,178" slick 10, heavy 8 pt (no back forks) not scored, and my wife shot one sunday (last day) that was 33 1/2" wide 5 5/8"bases slick 10 (this is mainframe width, no cheaters) we haven't scored it yet - my wife is still fired up. We let the biggest buck get away from us - watched him evening before season at 100 yards - never surfaced again for the third straight year! I shot the buck that we had 210" sheds from 2 years ago, at sunrise on opening morning but he had dropped off considerably (we let him get too old - not intentionally though), he was the 179" with a weak side. I saw the weak side before I shot him but went ahead because we had been after him for so long - one of my lowest scoring deer in 8 years but I'm probably proudest of him because he's given us the slip so many times. Send me your email and I'll send you some pics.

UNREAL! I cant believe the saeson is gone already, time has just flown by with the move to Colorado and everything. My new email address is [email protected]

I will be down in TX here pretty quick to film a giant we found. Its not a long drive from where you are, you should come out and check this beast out, he really is a freak!

Cant wait to see the pics and congratulations on a great hunt!

Damn Ted, I'm kicking myself right now! Wish I would have been there bud.

How did they do on the ranch that we had originally talked about?

The northern most ranch in the early season is where we got most of the bigger ones. The middle ranch with the Caprock on it was where Grady's buck (178" slick 10) and my wife's buck 33 1/2" were taken. I never heard back from you so I took that spot myself on the caprock in case I got blanked in the early season - then took my wife the last weekend when the rut started to get her buck. We bedded three different big bucks on Sunday am and she decided to try for the wide one - we stalked in to 75 yards at 2:45pm and she took him - wasn't pretty, but she got him down. The southernmost ranch that only had 2 spots - was where the heavy 8 pt was taken. Only one guy hunted this ranch(other guy went elephant hunting instead) - he shot and missed 2 different 180" class bucks and on the way out of the ranch on Sunday (last day, leaving) at 5:30 pm 500 yards from the gate he shot the heavy 8 pt - pretty weak buck, needed shot, was going way down hill - just a cull. I emailed you some of the bucks - I don't mind you posting my wife's pic's, he won't score great (shallow forks) but she sure liked the width. Don't post the other's - I don't want to get all worked up over some of the negative comments (private land b.s.) like i heard when I posted some of our 200 inchers in the past. Call me when ya come down to video - would love to help spot,etc... Later Ted
