I got these pics emailed to me a month ago and wondering where the heck the story is behind this trashy massive monster. It just gets more massive the higher you go.

I checked out B&C trophy watch and couldn't find it. Wondering if they are old pics.

Still interested in the story though.

Hey Browtine that's what the message header said on my email. "Record mulie from Rifle, Colarado" spelled incorrectly.

After looking a little further back, I finally found it on B&C trophy watch. (Thought about checking the archives after I made my post.)

Here's what B&C says:
UPDATE: John Grubich harvested this great buck in 2003, likely in Wyoming. Reported stats: 37-5/8" widest spread, 9x10, and approximate score of 216-3/8.

I thought it would score a lot higher than that.

That's 'Moses'. Buckspy and Mrs Buckspy got some great footage of him over several years which can be seen on Magnum Mulies 3.

I posted those pictures two years ago here on MM. Taken on a small piece of property where some dilling compnay was working I think. The guy asked the ranch owner if he could hunt, rancher said OK. Or at least that was the story back then.

Geez, I figured that buck would score more than 216? It's bloody huge.

Again, I'd bet my old .270 that this buck scores more than 216. A good frame and lots of trash.... Looks closer to 230 than 216. Hey, I'am not accusing anyone of lying for I don't want my arse kicked. Would the real score please stand up.

If I remember right the buck grossed near the 230 mark. I remember seeing the story in King's a few years back.

IF this buck has any weaknesses I guess it might be the G-3s. The top end mass is awesome! The more I look at this brute the more I think he will book non typical. What do you think?

What a spread! What trash! What unbelievable mass!

Was a great deer then, is still a brute now!

He looked pretty dang impressive on video too! What an Awesome Muley....couldn't even imagine.

It's a giant buck with all the "wow" factors. That doesn't always translate to a high net score. If you look at the buck's left G-3 and G-4 you will see they are both very short. Even though the buck has huge mass in the tines the first two circumference measurements for score are just average. I would guess the net main frame of this deer is around 180. Approximately 40" of extras still can't bring the score up to 230 net. The net score in no way reduces the trophy quality of this monster buck.

People worry too much about "score" IMO

Dandy buck, one few people will ever have a chance at taking.
