Wyoming Mule Deer question

Hi everyone! Im new to the forum but i have a lot of questions about Mule Deer hunting. I was in Glenrock Wyoming last fall for my first Mule Deer hunt with my dad and uncle. I had so much fun and it's something i want to continue doing, just not in Glenrock. There's not a whole lot there, and i want to learn more about better places to hunt.
Has anyone been to Sheridan WY? I've done some research on the area, and it seems to be a good area for Muleys, but i wanted to know for sure before i get more serious about going there. Any information would be helpful, or any suggestions on other areas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you looking for a trophy buck only or would you go to an area with good deer numbers where you would have a good chance to get something smaller. I don't know much about Wyoming myself. I'm a Utah guy. With some good research, and maybe a little advice from the right people, the easier to draw northern areas in Utah can be good. But you have to do alot of homework and plan on some hiking for a better buck. I hear the same about the easier to draw Colorado units as well. I am familiar with Southern utah, but it is tuffer to draw a tag. It is sometimes a little hard to get info from these forums at first when you are new. But there alot of good guys and gals here that are alot more knowlegdable than I am when it comes to different states and areas to hunt. Good luck, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for responding! I guess i would be more interested in numbers and the overall opportunity to get something, at least for now. Hiking is not a problem, i'm willing to put in the hard work, that's half the fun. Im not limiting myself to Wyoming, so thanks for the advice on the other states. I'll be looking into it.

Hey little woman! Your Dad told me you signed up here, good thinkng as there is a lot of guys here who know a lot a good places. Now you need to tell your dad to start getting you some light gear and do some spike camping a few miles back and it opens up a lot more opportunities for places to hunt and get into more deer. Watch out for the perverts though, they are everywhere on this site.. I will fill you in later.
Oh, and stay away from Cass...

Welcome aboard Kristi. Lots of info can be found on this site. Use the "search" option for specifics once you get started.

Start accumulating points for as many states as possible, but don't let Schmalts help with the application or mailing process, he seems to have some difficulties. ;-)

keep it up Miller... I'd introduce you to Kristy but your too damn old and ugly for her. Good thing Axle puts up with you... I guess a can of Alpo is cheap payment for having a buddy.
Hey did you get my email? all apps and cost for Wy can be put in one envelope and put on one check. He said just send the money and we will sort it out. I will do mine this weekend.
