That's J.Y. Jones, if I'm not mistaken. Take a look at his book if you can find it and the story might be in there. It certainly could be a Mexico buck; the guy had enough money to complete the North American grand slam and could probably hunt muleys anywhere.
That pic looks like one out of an article he wrote for Big Game Adventures about a year ago. I'm pretty sure it was in Mexico. I think the story was taken out of his book as mentioned.
I have had more than one outfitter in Mexico show me that pic and claim it was on their ranch. I have a really good idea where it came from but can not be sure.
